Humane Society Legislative Fund Launches New Ad Supporting Dog Rescuer John Fetterman for U.S. Senate

WASHINGTON (October 20, 2022)—Today the Humane Society Legislative Fund (HSLF), the nation’s leading political advocacy organization for animal protection is launching a new ad in the Pennsylvania Senate race supporting John Fetterman, backed by a half-million dollar buy.

“Electing humane candidates to office is key to enacting good public policy for animals,” said Sara Amundson, president of the Humane Society Legislative Fund. “The Humane Society Legislative Fund endorsed John Fetterman because he knows dogs belong on laps, not in labs. He will champion commonsense federal policies protecting animals and the people who love them.”

The 30-second spot, titled “Nora,” highlights a 13-year-old beagle who was rescued from an animal testing facility. The ad campaign will reach voters statewide beginning today.

“Hank and Rita from Allentown trust John Fetterman to be a voice for dogs like Nora in the U.S. Senate, and so do we.” said Brad Pyle, political director of the Humane Society Legislative Fund.

“Nora was one of the lucky ones – but there are thousands of beagles just like her who need a hero to speak up for them. That’s why we’re supporting John Fetterman this November.”

The Humane Society Legislative Fund has consistently played a critical role in championing animal protection measures and supporting humane candidates in Pennsylvania.
